It's Chinese New Year!!! Kids love this day of the year cos they get to receive angbaos!

Woke up early to prepare dinner before going to 99's house for reunion lunch.

Ah Ma's relatives - gu gong, Yi po n all came for dinner. Alicia enjoyed herself the most cos she gets to play with Sharlyn. Although they seldom see each other, they r very close together each time they meet.

Mummy's happy now cos the cooking is finally over. Time for a break!

Chinese New Year's Eve

It's Chinese New Year's Eve! After our reunion dinner at home, we went to 99's house for lo-hei.

I changed the toothbrush for all of us. Kids also get to wear their pyjamas and sleep on new bed sheets. Well, that's new year...

Brandon's hurt

When I was waiting to fetch Caden from his abacus class this afternoon, I received a call from Brandon. He had hurt his head n is bleeding. Ah Ma wasn't at home. Luckily, Aunty knew how to help him by cleaning his blood n using ice to stop further bleeding.

After fetching both Caden & Alicia, we quickly took a cab home.

He had left the cabinet door open and sat on the floor to play with Lego pieces. He knocked his head on the corner of the door n it started bleeding. This boy ah... Dunno to call him brave or what. Told me that it's not painful and he din cry.

Brought him to see Dr Leong n he said it shld b alrite. Jus need to cleanse it n apply medicine for 3 days.

Soccer with BFF

Brandon has soccer training again today. Met Keene when we were waiting for the coach. Took a photo of them together. Soon after, they were chasing each other! So happy to see my son playing happily with his BFF.

Brandon's friend came over to him and commented,"Brandon! You hv soccer boots oso ah? But u see, I hv the socks n protection which u don't..."

Hmph! Hao lian.... Told daddy abt it and he said he'll get for Brandon. Heeee...

Eat n eat

Kids went swimming this morning. As usual, boys went to kids toilet n Alicia went to women's toilet to wash up. Brandon did a porcupine hair for Caden while washing his hair...

They wanted Swensen's 49er beef for lunch. As J8 has the best 49er, we went Bishan. After playground & shopping, went to 99's place.

The kids, esp Brandon ate n ate... Yakult, kueh bulu, tao huay, pocky sticks, apples...

As Daddy looked tired, Mummy suggested leaving earlier n hv our own dinner before going home. We were discussing what to eat near our home. Caden suggested Sushi Tei and the other 2 applauded... So, called to book lor.

After a quick washup, Daddy massaged for them and they went to zz-land very quickly.

Making Corn Flakes Cups

Caden kept pestering me to make the corn flakes cups he learnt in school. After marketing, collecting the vacuum cleaner fr gu-gong's house and visiting Val in hospital, I brought him to NEX NTUC to buy the corn flakes n chocolate bars.

I melted the chocolate bars after dinner and let him stir n scoop them into cups. Alicia oso wanted to scoop too.

Successfully made them!

P/S: Brandon lifted up one of Caden's leg n made him fall. He had a few scratches on his back cos he knocked into the aircon trunk casing. Brandon is being punished now by facing the wall while the other 2 are sleeping. Naughty boy! He knows he's at fault n din dare to talk back.

Final painting

Yes, finally, we completed painting the house. 2 half days plus 1 full day. Spent about $300 on paint & accessories. 2 women, i.e. maid & me. If it were to b outsourced to professionals, it'll cost almost $2k.

Caden & Brandon oso wanted to try their hands on painting after they came back fr school. Kept pestering me to let them paint.

I'm so happy with our hard work. Quite good job done for 1st timers, I must say. But it's really really tiring...

And oh... Rec'd a call from 99 this morning that Val has "no gas". She was giddy and cldn't get out of bed. Da Yi called in the afternoon after she rushed home fr work. Arranged for an ambulance to send her to East Shore Hospital. After a jab, she's warded for the nite n put on drip. Hope she'll get we'll soon!

Corn Flakes Cookies

Caden made corn flakes cookies in school today. Each student brought home 2 pcs. He was so proud of it and even ran thru a step by step with me and asked me to do it on Saturday. When Daddy came home fr work, he eagerly showed off to him.

Alicia attended her 1st scrabble class for the year.

Dunno y... Mummy felt so tired and sleepy today. I think it cld b cos of the going in and out of the house daily that's tiring me out.

Mon - fetch Caden fr school at 11.15am; prepare lunch; fetch AB after school at 1.40pm; settle their lunch; send Brandon for soccer at 3pm; guide A&C in school work; fetch B at 4.30pm; guide B in school work; cook dinner; settle their dinner; bathe; settle kids to zzz at 8.30pm.

Tues - fetch C at 11.15am; prepare lunch; fetch AB at 1.40pm; settle their lunch; send BC for Berries at Bishan by cab/train; fetch at 4.45pm; cook dinner; settle their dinner; bathe; settle kids to zzz at 8.30pm.

Wed - fetch C; prepare lunch; fetch AB; settle lunch; send AC to English & Abacus class at Serangoon Gardens at 3pm by cab; fetch at 4.30pm by bus; cook dinner; settle dinner; bathe; send C for phonics at 7.30pm by bus; go home by bus; settle AB to zzz; go fetch C; settle C to zzz at 9.30pm.

Thur - fetch C; prepare lunch; fetch AB; settle lunch; send A for scrabble class; guide BC in school work; fetch A at 5pm; cook dinner; settle their dinner; prepare for home Chinese tuition at 7pm; bathe; settle kids to zzz after 8.30pm.

Fri - fetch C; prepare lunch; fetch AB at 1.10pm; settle lunch; guide ABC in school work; cook dinner; settle their dinner; bathe; settle kids to zzz at 8.30pm. The only day they don't hv enrichment class!

Although it looks like a simple routine, by Day 4, I'm already tired out. Am I old le? Really miss the days when Daddy was around to help out.

Busy Caden

Wednesday, as usual, is the busiest day of the week for me. This year, it's also a busy day for Caden. He has abacus class in the afternoon and creative writing class in the evening.

After I fetched him from school today, his classmates Amelia & Caden Lim invited him to join them at the playground. As the weather was cooling, I let him play.

Alicia also attended her English class in the afternoon. She's loving this class as it's now taught by Teacher Arina. I feel that she can do and understand better when under her guidance.

Brandon was also good this afternn. He went in to bathe before I left to send the other 2 for classes. And when I called back half an hour later, he was already learning his dictation for Friday.

Good children!!!

8.15pm

Boys had Berries this afternoon. Surprisingly, Brandon did not make noise but had his lunch & washed up v quickly after class. He was also amongst the 1st few to complete his work in class.

For the past few days, I've been telling them to be in bed by 8.15pm. This is to give them ample time to warm down and go to bed early, getting at least 9hrs of sleep.

Today, Alicia & Caden were the fastest. By 8.10pm, they were already waiting for me. Good job!!!

Sunshine roll

Did a sunshine roll - wrap with scrambled eggs and shaved ham for Daddy and the kids' breakfast today. Too bad forgot to take photo. As for Caden, he'll usually b too full after his milk. Hence, jus kept scrambled eggs for him. He loves it!

Brandon has soccer training today. He was v happy when I fetched him. He told me he played with his best friends, Keene and Hardin. : )

Exercise Day!

Brought the boys to swim without Alicia today. Caden was very enthusiastic and kept swimming laps while Brandon was jus swimming slowly with competition from Alicia. They played with water guns after their swim. Again, Brandon helped his brother bathe.

We had a lazy afternoon at home.

Daddy brought us to nearby Mei Hwan playground to let Brandon try his new soccer boots. We then realised that we've not taught him how to tie shoe lace! O dear!!! What if his shoe lace came loose while playing soccer?? Daddy guided him today. Hope he'll b able to do it on his own soon.

The boots really made him run on the field better. He was so happy with it. Caden also wanted to try n so, gor for let him wear too. This little boy pattern 'chut gar liao'...

After a day of exercise, we had an unhealthy meal! Haaaa.. Had Prata at Serangoon Gardens.

They all made sure Daddy gave them a massage before they went to bed.
