School Re-opens

School holiday came to an end on 30 Jun, Sunday. The kids were grounded at home for about a week cos of the very bad haze.

Caden somehow had a dry throat on Sunday. Hence, Mummy let him rest at home on Monday.

It was a tiring week. Daddy will send the Alicia and Brandon to school in the morning before going to work, while Mummy will walk Caden to school. For the past week, I've been doing marketing on Tuesday, preparing lunch n dinner on other days, boiling barley water, etc. while the kids were in school.

Then, I'll go fetch Caden home. It's been a week of bad weather. It rained for 3/4 days when I fetched Caden. 😣 Once home, we'll complete his homework before hving lunch n shower. Next, I'll go fetch Alicia n Brandon. Similarly, I'll get their lunch ready immediately when home.

It was abit of a rush as enrichment classes started too. On Tuesdays, the boys hv Berries class at 3pm. Mummy will rush Brandon thru lunch n bath b4 sending them to Bishan by cab. Then, we'll rush back at 5pm to cook dinner.

On Wednesdays, Caden has Abacus class at 2.30-4pm, followed by Alicia's Creative Writing class at 7.30pm. This week, we took a cab in the afternn after A n B came home. Left them to hv lunch on their own n instructed then to bathe n do some work b4 I come home. Treated them to Bakerzin cheesecake n macaroons for afternn tea. Cooked dinner early so that Alicia can hv it early b4 her class. As Daddy cldn't make it back in time to send her, we took bus there. Luckily, he cld help to fetch her after class.

On Thursdays, Caden has Phonics class fr 2-3pm. Again, this timing is v tight. Luckily, Er-gu offered her car to me this week. I fetched the 2 elder kids n made the maid pick them up n send Caden down at the bus stop. We headed straight for class. There's no Chinese tuition thus week as Teacher Lee is back in China.

O Fridays... the day when there's no enrichment, no need to learn spelling, etc. I let Alicia n Brandon play at the playgrounds this week. Tho hot, they enjoyed themselves!

Now, I actually dread school days... Daddy is no longer around to help me out. Initially, I had thought that I'll hv more free time when the kids r in school. I'm wrong... I seem to b so tied up with preparing their meals n rushing them for enrichment classes. By the time they go to bed, I'm dead beat too...
