Day 2 of June Hols

Yawn.... I'm so tired, or rather we're so tired.

We went to catch the movie, Epic, at 10.40am, followed by lunch at Sushi Tei. Did some shopping so as to be able to get 3 receipts with min $30 spend each to let the kids play at the Forest Adventure miniature for free. Mayb cos it was the 1st day, there wasn't a crowd at all. Caden din meet the min height requirement and hence can jus stand by n watch.

Alicia & Brandon tried for 1 round and wanted to go again. So, we went shopping again to get another receipt. It started to drizzle... I was still worried that we'll b stuck after they played the 2nd round. Lucky for us, the rain stopped. By the time we reached home, it was almost 4pm.

After we took turns to bathe, it was time for me to prepare dinner. Lazy, Mummy decided to cook pasta. It started to pour!

As it was Eat With Your Family Day today, Daddy said he'll b back early to join us for dinner. Who knows... there was a very bad jam! By the time he reached home, it was 8pm! Still, the kids waited patiently for Daddy to hv dinner together.

It's almost 10.30pm. Although they were so tired today, they jus fell asleep.

Happy children, happy Daddy, happy Mummy. : )

Official Start to the June Holidays

It's June holidays!!! That must b what the kids r thinking.

Mummy started off the day with the Parent-Teacher Meeting at Caden's school at 8.30am. In gist, Caden is very independent and focused. His works r considered the tops in class. The teachers jus loved him. 郭老师 also joked about how he can even hold hands with Haijing, his girlfriend, when sitting down. She wondered why the girls in his class like him, as in he's so popular, even tho he's not as handsome as Brandon.

Brought the kids to the nearby CC to check out classes which they can attend during the holidays. Nothing seems interesting. Ended up signing up for a baking class for 3 of them.

We then walked to NEX to shop for baking stuff since they said they wanted to bake at home. Let them play at the playground on our way back.

When they reached home, they zoomed for the fan after washing up. Brandon was so hot that he pulled off his shirt. Caden followed suit.

Made them do some work in the afternoon. Caden did his Readers writing, Alicia n Brandon continued with their e-assignments.

They ate mini-Cornetto ice-cream in the afternoon and evening. Super happy!

And, that's just Day 1...

School Holiday Starts!

It's school holiday for Alicia and Brandon from today! Caden still has one last day to go!

But, Mummy still gotta wake up early cos hv to prepare breakfast for Daddy b4 he goes to work. Heee... I went back to sleep after that. Too bad, before he went out, the kids all woke up! They'll never sleep late on a non-school day!!

While Caden was in school, Alicia and Brandon did some e-assignments. They r given a week to complete them.

Alicia followed me to fetch Caden from school. Caden was so happy to see her!

The rest of the day, it was play n play for them.

Alicia has her Creative Writing class in the evening, Daddy made it home in time to send her for class. Thank you, Daddy!

Daily breakfast

Every weekday, I'll try to make sure Daddy and the kids hv their breakfast b4 they go to school or work.

Brandon loves ham while Alicia loves cheese. I went to NTUC to get the ham last nite but it was closed. So this morning, I boiled eggs for egg mayo sandwich. Am so glad they loved it. Even Caden ate the whole butter roll. : )

Daddy drove to work today cos he has a dinner function in the evening. So, we took the cab to Bishan for Berries class. Had intended to train back but changed my mind after getting the whole box of 胡须张卤肉 from CPF Bishan ofc from Jen. So heavy! Cabbed back too.

Also bot a box of strawberries from NTUC. They looked so red n juicy. But after a bite, so sour!! And as usual, only Brandon enjoys it.

As for Alicia, she's down with flu. Jus gave her a dose of medication. Hope she'll b well tmrw.

Mid-year Holistic Assessments

Alicia and Brandon took home their Report Book for Semester 1. Instead of hving exams, they hv mini-tests to form part of the holistic assessments.

Alicia did well for all except her Chinese Oral. Really need to improve on that. Can anyone help??

Brandon only had a test for Maths. Although he got most of the answers right, he din show workings for his problem sums. Hence, 8 marks were no awarded. He scored 40/50. : (

Anyway, Mummy has already rewarded them with gifts for the good work done. Keep it up, my children!

Celebrating Birthdays at Todai

Today is Da-Yi's birthday. We celebrated together, also for Val n Brandon, at Todai @ MBS. Small Yi din join as she's away for a short break in Bintan.

We felt that its value for money ($64++) cos it's the Alaskan Crab and Korean Abalone promotion for the month. Furthermore, kids dine free for every paying adult. We ate so much crab n abalone... Kids and mummy also had 2-3 rounds of the ice-cream. They love buffet cos they get to take any food they like, and of cos, getting the cold drinks themselves for a few rounds.

Overall, we quite enjoyed the meal together. The adults were so full that we skipped dinner. The kids, whereas, had their fav frog leh porridge.

Sunday Swim Class

While the kids were hving their swimming class this morning, Daddy & Mummy relaxed at Safra Toastbox and 'lim' kopi. It's great to be able to spend few private moments together.

Kids love to play after their swim class. Today, they played scissors, paper, stone to decide who shld be the one being dragged... Take a look at the pictures for the winner!

Nail on Tyre

We went to Serangoon Gardens Market for breakfast - the kids wanted half-boiled eggs. Went home and made them complete their enrichment class homework.

Ard 4pm, we went to Raffles City and CityLink Mall to get a few new shirts and pants for Daddy. It's been some time since he bought biz clothes. He bought 4 shirts and 2 pants.

We had dinner at Ding Tai Fung. It was great looking at my kids eat. They love the food here. Caden was special; he enjoys the 小菜 although it was abit spicy. He also likes the black jelly with glutinous rice. Brandon, as usual, ate 6-7 小笼包. He can eat more, if we din stop him. And of cos, it was toilet big biz for him after dinner. Same for Caden too. : (

Da-Yi delivered a waffle with ice-cream to our place after we reach home.

It shld hv been a happy day but Daddy was very upset. When we were on our way home, we went to pump petrol. Was told by one of the guys that there's a nail on one of our car tyre. Who's so bad?!?!? We just changed the tyre a mth ago. We'll hv to go change or patch the tyre after the kids sleep tonite. So leh cheh...

Vesak Day

It's Vesak Day - a public holiday. Happy as Daddy doesn't need to work. Too busy to go temple today.

Brought the kids for their weekly breakfast at McDonalds before heading to 99's place. Daddy & Mummy had to attend a funeral so the kids stayed there for a while.

We brought the kids to Tampines Mall after we came back. As promised, Mummy bought them mini-figurines of Lego and My Little Ponies from Toys R Us. We also bought a few books from Popular.

Then, we went T3 for dinner. Da-Yi, Val & Darrell and 99 joined us there. Da-Yi bought gelato for them after dinner.

Mummy was a little upset with Brandon today. He kept saying 'naughty mummy' and even hit me when he didn't get what he wanted. That's him... : ( Although he'll always end up apologising to me, it's a very bad habit. Sometimes, I really don't know what to do with him. Hope he'll change for the better.
