We picked the Paos at abt 9am and headed to Kallang MacDonald's for breakfast. The traffic at Malaysia was bad. It took us almost 2hrs to clear the customs! By the time we reached Legoland, we decided to let the kids hv their lunch b4 the swim.
We got the combo tickets which included the theme park. It started raining after we changed into our swim wear. It was great cos it helped cool us down in the hot sun! The park was crowded. As it was small, we managed to cover a fair bit. By the time we were done, it was ard 4pm. There was no time for the theme park. We had some coffee n bread before making our way to Batu Pahat.
With some delays here n there on the way, we reached Batu Pahat ard 8pm. We checked into our hotel at Katerina before Uncle Pao treated us to dinner at Ocean Restaurant. His elder brother's family joined us for dinner too. We all enjoyed the yummy food.
The kids soaked in the bath tub for a while before their bath. It wasn't difficult to put them to sleep as everyone's tired.
We woke up the next morning and Uncle Pao brought us to Ah Gong's home for a visit. He was very nice, making a trip to his farm early in the morning to get us some of his homegrown fruits - passion fruit & guava (super big)! We then had our breakfast at the roadside stall.
Next, the kids enjoyed a ride on Uncle Pao's younger brother's motorbike. Brandon was initially hesitant but wanted more after going on his 1st round. Amelia, especially, loves the ride! This was something Caden kept mentioning when he's back in Singapore.
We left for a short shopping trip at Batu Pahat Mall. The kids played at the arcade. Uncle Pao sent Daddy to the restaurant for the wedding lunch while the kids played. He came back to fetch us for our lunch at Papazi. The kids enjoyed the pasta n drinks. We then dropped by his elder brother's place before going to Square One for round 2 shopping.
Daddy's friend dropped him off at the mall to meet us after the lunch. We had coffee n Papa Roti before leaving at 5.30pm for home. Luckily we did! The traffic condition back was bad too! We were stuck n delayed for another 2 hrs. The kids were hungry n restless in the car. They snacked abit on the way. By the time we reached Singapore, they were all too tired to hv dinner.
The kids only had milk n washed up before they fell asleep again.
Overall, we all enjoyed ourselves, if not for the jam. It was great travelling with the Pao family. Alicia n Amanda were both like close friends, talking non-stop. Caden enjoyed his time playing with the bubbly Amelia. We look forward to our next trip together!
