Karaoke

Daddy brought us for a karaoke session on Saturday. The main purpose was just so that Caden could have a chance to use the microphone to try out his graduation speech.

It was our 1st official karaoke session as a family. The other time we tried it was on a cruise few years back.

It was a surprise when Brandon seemed very comfortable holding on to the mike, singing the few songs he dedicated. Alicia was very shy to hold on to the mike although she knew quite a few songs too. As for Caden, he kept snatching the mikes but din know the songs!

It was an enjoyable session! Daddy was very happy!

Caden's Graduating!

Time flies... My no. 3 is graduating from Kindergarten soon. We received his graduation photos today. Daddy says he looks handsome. Heeeee....

Prize Commendation

Woohoo!!! When mummy fetched Alicia & Brandon from school today, they told me they saw each other going up the stage to get commendation.

Alicia received the certificate for getting a Distinction for the ICAS Maths paper.

Brandon came in tops for the P2 Book Review.

Wow!!! Good job, my dear children!  Very happy for you!!!

GEP Screening

The P3 cohort went for a GEP screening test few weeks ago. Alicia was amongst the top 30% and was selected for the round 2 Selection Test.

Well done, Alicia! Daddy & Mummy are very proud n happy for you!

Nature Tour

Mummy & Auntie Sherlene arranged a nature tour for the kids on the Children's Day weekend. We were all worried as the weather forecast predicted a thunderstorm! Thank god it was a perfect weather on that morning!

First stop - We headed to Bollywood Veggies for breakfast. This was followed by a walk along the trail. Heeee... The kids & mummy didn't really enjoy it & quickly made way to the ice-cream stall while the rest continued the walk.

Next stop - Farmart Centre. We were quite disappointed with this place. The website described it as such a nice big place with small animals for viewing & feeding. There was only a pathetic corner with rabbits, goats, parrots & catfish.

3rd stop - Qianhu Fish Farm. The kids were all waiting for this stop - longkang fishing. We paid $6 per kid, which included a fish tank. It was so tough to catch the fish!!! Amelia was very determined to catch one!

Last stop - Lunch at MacDonald's. Uncle Dacon was so nice to let the kids eat ice-cream again!

The kids had great fun!

Happy Children's Day

The kids got a day off from school on Children's Day. Daddy left the car for our use.

They requested to hv Swensen's for lunch. It was THEIR day, according to them. Daddy & Mummy had to listen to their "commands".

We also went to Bishan Park for cycling in the late afternoon. Had initially planned for desserts at Wimbly Lu but they were tempted by the MacDonald's at the park. Ended up hving dessert there.

Funnily, Caden dropped his 3rd tooth while hving ice-cream. He was very happy as he'll get something from Tooth Fairy again.

Amelie's 5th Birthday

Auntie Tze Wei invited us to Amelie's 5th birthday party on 27 Sep. The theme was Frozen.

Alicia can't fit into any of the Elsa's dresses. She chose to wear her blue Bloom dress which fits the theme perfectly! She also made me plait her hair. I must say it was quite nicely done.

The boys chose to go in white as Olaf the snowman & Marshmallow the Ice Monster. We did masks together.

We din really get to party with the birthday girl as she was too engrossed with the games n fun with her friends. Instead, my kids played n partied with the Pao & Phua kids.

Treetop Loft Staycation

We booked a treetop loft stay at RWS Sentosa from 8-9 Sep 2014. Daddy took leave from work.

The place was great, except for mozzies. Luckily, we din get any kisses from them.

We started off with buffet lunch at the Starz Restaurant at Hard Rock Cafe, followed by a swim at Equarius Hotel's pool. Once we checked into the room, there was no need for us to get out from there!

Daddy's family joined us in the room in the evening. We called for in-room dining. The hotel surprised us with a cake as Daddy told them that Mummy is celebrating her birthday. The cake-cutting honour, however, was given to Ah Ma & Denise's granny, whose birthdays fall in Sep too.

The next day, we had breakfast at Forest Restaurant. We met up with the Pao Family who also booked a room at Equarius. They were very lucky to be given a free upgrade to the deluxe pool suite. We swam in their private pool too!!

It was a short stay, but a wonderful one for our family. M looking forward to yet another one!

ICAS Science

Alicia participated in the ICAS Science Assessment and scored a Distinction. Daddy & Mummy are so proud of her.

Playground

Brought the boys to the playground one morning. Alicia didn't want to follow cos she wanted to watch her cartoon show.
