Rainbow Loom

After Alicia got a set of Crazy Loom from Da Yi as her birthday present, mummy bought another set of Rainbow Loom online. It's the craze now.

When the item arrived, even the boys were excited over it. They've all been looming bracelets today.

Brandon & Caden only did the basic ones while Alicia watched the YouTube video and made a few advanced bracelets.

Guess it'll be rainbow loom for the next few days at least.

Boys' Date at Bishan Park

It's Vesak Day today, a lovely public holiday.

Daddy brought the boys to Bishan Park to play football. Alicia din want to follow so she stayed at home to play on get own.

We had breakfast at MacDonald's before ta-baoing back for Alicia her egg muffin.

Cooked simple ramen for lunch as per Caden's request.

As the boys din want to go out, we brought Alicia to Tampines Mall to get a birthday present for her best friend Shermaine. Gosh.. The crazy loom at Toys R Us were sold out. They were also not available at Kiddy Palace & BHG. Ended up buying a few books for my kids at Popular.

Chinese Orchestra

Alicia enthusiastically asked for 5 tickets from her teacher for a Yangzheng sponsored Singapore Chinese Orchestra concert for Saturday. The teacher even called a day before to ensure that we attend!

We had a yummy dinner at Ding Tai Fung at Raffles City to celebrate Mother's Day. Then, we headed to SCO Hall at the old Singapore Conference Hall for our 1st such concert.

I was initially afraid that the kids wld b making too much noise during the concert. Surprisingly, they behaved very well. Brandon, the hyper boy who can't concentrate for too long, sat through quietly n seemed to enjoy the concert.

Alicia was happy to see a few of her friends around.

Caden, the cheeky boy, kept giggling at the conductor cum Music Director. His smile & movements on the stage was indeed funny. We were locked out for 8 mins cos Caden needed to go for a toilet break.

The minus point abt the concert was that there was much applause after each performance. They even hv 2 encores! Brandon said towards the end,"I hv no energy to clap hands le...". Haaa!!!

The concert ended at 10.20pm. Find that it's a bit too long for the kids. By the time they went home in the car, they dozed off.

However, I'm glad we got to appreciate the music for the nite.

Exams Over!

Sort of... Friday was a play day for the kids, although Alicia still has one more paper on Monday.

Let them play with their electronic gadgets, toys n watch TV.

In the evening, we sent Xiao-gu & Er-gu off at the airport for their trip to Seoul. Daddy brought us to Mac for dessert before going home.

Not Studying for SA

Alicia has been hving so many homework this year that its so difficult to get her to do assessment papers.

Her SAs are starting the week. However, over the weekend, she just didn't seem keen to study. Brandon, as usual, will take pains to complete his assignment.

I gave up - really. I I didn't force them to do additional assignments nor look they their notes.

Daddy, Caden & I took a short afternn nap while the other 2 watched TV.

The only thing Brandon wanted to do was his art homework - a caterpillar.

Scarf

Alicia & Brandon practised composition writing in the morning while Caden learnt his spellings.

As they chose to stay at home to watch TV n play iPad, Daddy & Mummy spent some time alone. We went to redeem the Man U Scarf which came along with the credit card Daddy applied for and shopped for Daddy's shirts.

With some time to spare, we popped by St Marc's at Raffles City to hv afternn tea. Of cos, we didn't forget our kids' fav donuts to bring home.

Daddy & son happily sang "Glory glory Man United..." with the scarf...

May Day

It's a public holiday today!

Made pancakes for them this morning. Yummy...

The kids did done assessment work. Gotta study cos exam's next week. Brandon also did his art homework - making an owl. They took a break & played Xbox after lunch, followed by TV.

Caden followed Daddy & Mummy out for shopping before we bought dinner home.

Time flies very fast when it's a holiday.

Pencil Cut

Caden had a small scratch during his Creative Writing class ytday. He accidentally poked the pencil onto his palm. Teacher Arina & Auntie Pauline helped cleanse the wound.

This naughty boy ah... Told me he doesn't want to go for school or attend classes this month. He was afraid that he'll b laughed at cos of his bo-geh!
