Dumpling Making

Caden has bee pestering mummy to let him make dumplings. I had the ingredients prepared. Since it's a free afternoon today, I let them do - for fun la...

It was very easy. From the past cooking or baking sessions, I can tell that Brandon is the most interested and shows the most potential.

Pizza Making Workshop

Mummy was invited for a pizza making workshop by J8. It was a private invitation for top spenders. Hmmm... Shld I b happy? I signed for for Daddy too and was told only 1 slot. But out if goodwill, they gave me 2 slots. : )

Xiao-gu went on Daddy's behalf cos he's away. Caden tagged along although they had initially said that he can't join in.

It was a simple pizza making process. Surprisingly, it tasted ok. We had that for lunch plus some other snacks from the food fair at the atrium.

Bowling again

It wasn't enuf for them after playing at Safra! Caden wanted to go bowling at Da-Yi's club. So, we arranged to go their for dinner. Went to pick Val n 99. Wah... The traffic was terrible. Took me almost half an hour jus to get out of Toa Payoh.

The cafe at the club was crowded too. We packed for take away and ate outside the cafe on one of the tables instead. Then, it was bowling and arcade games.

Da-Yi suggested hving waffle after the game. Mummy had initially declined the offer cos it was already 10pm. Caden insisted! So, we went to Little Ice Cream Cafe (LICK) at Tanjong Katong.

By the time we reached home n washed up, it was almost 11.30pm. Caden was first to get ready. I told him to go wait for me on his bed while I settled jie jie n gor gor. By the time we went to the room, he had already fallen asleep! The other 2 fell asleep within 10mins too!

Kids Amaze

Daddy's away for an off-site meeting on Friday. Kids planned where to go...

After school, brought them to J8 to prescribe a pair of glasses for Alicia. Then we went to Safra Toa Payoh's Kids Amaze! They had a whopping great time there!

Vision Screening

Alice had her vision screened in school and we received a letter to bring her for further checks. Brought her to Spectacle Hut at Bishan last week but was advised to bring her to hospital for another check cos she can't seem to relax her eyes for a good review.

Mummy emailed Student Health Centre at HPB but no reply. Called them again but was told that they only see students P1 and below. I'll hv to bring Alicia to a Polyclinic before she's referred to SNEC and this will take time. Ridiculous! Call urself Student Health Centre??

Brought Alicia to Spectacle Hut again on Fri and prescribed a pair of glasses for her. It's 0.25 and 0.5 for her short-sightedness and 0.5 for both eyes for astigmatism. Cos her face is a bit big, there's not many choices left from the kids' range for her to choose the frame. Finally decided on one at $138.

When I woke Caden up for school this morning, I realised that his nose bled. Checked us fingers and true enuf, almost all fingers had dried blood. He must hv dug his nose while sleeping! Quickly washed up for him b4 i went marketing. Let him rest at home instead of going to school.

Piggy Bank

The kids, especially Caden, are getting more and more 'money face'. They'll want to help to pay for things and will readily keep the change. The money will then be deposited into their piggy bank. Hopefully, they'll learn to save money.

Legoland Malaysia

Sunday, 22 July - We woke up early and left home abt 8am to Legoland Malaysia! It took us less than an hour to reach, with no traffic jams. Parked our car at Mall of Medini. Had our breakfast at Old Town White Coffee before heading in to Legoland.

We were lucky - there wasn't many people and hence, no long waiting time! Most of the rides are suitable for my kids' age, other than the few roller coaster rides. They went for the Driving School, Boating School, Rescue Academy, Airport, Legoland Express, Beetle Bounce, Shipyard, Duplo Express, Royal Joust, Wave Racer, etc.

We also watched 2 4D shows - Legends of Chima and Lego City Clutch Power.

The kids chose a few loose pieces of Lego from The Brick shop. We compared prices of the Lego sets and found them to be comparable or even more expensive, hence didn't get any.

Overall experience was ok except for a few breakdowns/technical faults. It was terribly hot! We applied sunblock repeatedly. Had initially planned to upgrade the tickets to an annual pass but decided against it in the end. Daddy felt that we had played most of the rides and that there's no particular ride which left us memorable. And of cos, the scorching sun played a part in dissuading us.

We exited the park about 5pm and had dinner and desserts at the Medini Mall. Even tho we left the place at 6.30pm, the road block along the way and jam at the Johor Immigration took us almost 2 hours to reach home.

Bathed for the kids and they went to bed feeling exhausted but happy. Daddy joked the next morning that Caden was so tired that he didn't even move at all the whole nite. It was the same position throughout. Lol...
